How To Use Glo BIS Subscription On Your Computer/PC To Browse

Glo  which is one of the highly known telecommunications network in Nigeria which offers lot of services in Nigeria such as BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) people have been asking if you can use Glo BIS on PC? Yes! it is possible to use your Glo BIS on PC now easily, all you have to do is to tweak your APN (access point) of Glo which I will explain below.

How To Use Glo BIS On Computer

First, you need to subscribe for the Glo BIS plan and to do that. Insert  your Glo sim into your phones and Text "coweek" to 777 for N400/week plan 
Or 
text "comonth" to 777 for N1400/month plan.
You will then recieve a message alerting you of you of your subscription.
Note the weekly plan is 700MB while the monthly plan is 3GIG

How To Change The APN

After Successfully subscribing to Glo BIS plan, you will have to remove the Glo sim from your phone and insert to your Glo modems or a modem that is unlocked unlock yours here.

Then plug in the modem to your computer

And when the Dashboard pop up, go to the "Tools tab" then click on the "Option Tab" then under the options click on Profile Management"

Click On New profile then begin to fill it in as stated below.

Profile Name : Glo BIS(or anything you like)
APN  : blackberry.net
Access number:  *99#
Username : leave blank
Password : leave blank
 After filling this in, CLICK on the SAVE button then go back to the mean dashboard and connect it using the profile you just created.
And it will connect and you can use it to browse untill your Mb(bandwidth) finishes.
To check your MB status send "STATUS" to "777"

    1. No, not really, it can be done on any phone but if you can use a BlackBerry then fine

  2. glo bis has stopped working on pc.....and on android phones too since 18th of feb this year...
