How To Change Your Facebook Page Url Address For the Second Time

Facebook had a rule or policy that if you customise your page url it can only be done once! we must have noticed that when  you open a page, you will see that the url will be some like this

 www.facebook.com/pages/businesstoday/1223635

But after having more than 25 likes you are now allowed to customize url of the page to something like this 

 www.facebook.com/businesstoday

This change can only be done once, but recently facebook now allows you to change the already customized url to another but just once, and after you have done this, you will have to change all the url leading to your facebook page from webpages and others.

To get start, Open any of your Facebook Pages, go to Edit Page – > Update Info and click the “Change Username” link under the Username option

Before you change the URL, here are few things you should know:

• When you pick a new URL for your Facebook Page, the old URL will no longer work (returns a 404). Therefore, make sure that you update any existing links in your web pages, email signatures, etc. that point to the old Facebook Page URL.
• Be very careful when choosing the new URL for your Facebook Page because you are allowed to change the username of any Page only once.

• Facebook Pages ignore periods (.) in the URL and they are also case insensitive. Thus facebook.com/businessday is same as facebook.com/business.day or even facebook.com/business.day.
