Are you a designer? you design logos, posters and so on and you need fonts because that on word processor are very boring. i have listed some website which you can download cool design fonts for free and some also allow you to design some yourself.

The Lost Type Co-op:This website is a little bit different, the site allows fonts designers to upload their fonts and you the users can get the fonts for whatever price you have, including zero. this does not mean all their fonts must be bought, you can also download designs fonts for free. All the profit made by a font is sent to the font designer.
Font Squirrel
Font Squirrel : If you need to use a fonts for commercial purposes, font squirrel is the best place to find an d download designer fonts that are licensed for commercial work, so you don't have to go through all those tedious licensing agreements to find one you can use.
Dafont
Dafont: This is the site with the most designer fonts that i have seen, with over 16,000 to choose from but the site has a lot of advantages over other sites that provide designer fonts for download, Dafont shows you the preview of the designer font you are about to download and its also very easy to navigate through the site.
The League of Movable Type
The League of Movable Type: This site is totally different from the rest, it is a community where all design fonts are free, so do u have a font to share? join the community and enjoy the experience
FontStruct
FontStruct: Have you visited through all these site and found none that you like? then its time to create yours. the font editor is very easy to use, you can start from scratch if you are not a designer you can design yours with shapes that are available.
