How To Restore Your Backup File To Your BlackBerry Device
Restore can only be done if you have the backup file which is in a .ipd format and also should be in the computer that you want to restore it with, so the backup file can be transferred from one computer to another, just keep your backup files save.
Restore can be carried out on a separate device, if you backup an old BlackBerry device and you have a new BlackBerry, you can restore it from that same backup file from the old BlackBerry device.
Step 1
As we know, connect your blackberry to your BlackBerry Desktop Manager
Step 2
Now, click on Device tab at the top left corner of the manager interface, the click on Restore, then a pop up will appear just like the image below.
As you can see, the manager will look for any backup format file .ipd as far as its in the computer, you can also locate it from where you kept it (that if you moved it from the default folder) but if you did not move it, then no need to browse it out from your computer.
There are also options below the browse tab which you can prefer when restoring, then click on Restore button below to finalize your restore decision.
It will then transfer all your old data back to your device or to your old device, without your contacts knowing your changed your device.
And when it finish transferring, unplug your Blackberry device and you are done !!! but first; it best you restart your phone to settled everything that you have transferred.
